Bulgaria made one more substitution in the 57th minute, replacing K. Despodov with R. Kirilov. In the 85th minute Bulgaria made one last substitution, replacing I. Gruev with S. Chopov. Hungary also made two late substitutions, replacing B. Bolla with L. Nego and Z. Kalmar with B. Vechei in the 86th and 87th minutes respectively. As a result, Hungary won 3-0, an important victory in their bid to qualify for the European Championships. The fans at the Puskász Arena returned home happy after their team had shown good play.
