Due to numerous media inquiries regarding the use of the VAR system at Ukrainian championship matches, we would like to inform you.
The criteria, conditions and procedure for determining matches for the use of the VAR system are regulated by the Regulations on the application of the VAR system in football competitions among professional teams for the competitive season 2022/2023.
As of today, the UAF Commission has appointed VAR for 30 matches in the UPL. Of these, 26 were at the expense of the UAF, four at the request and at the expense of the clubs. FC Kryvbas (Kryvyi Rih) ordered three matches in the 15th, 17th and 25th rounds. One match in round 19 was ordered by FC Veres (Rivne).
In the PFL, VAR has so far been appointed for six matches, and all orders have been made by clubs in the first league. Among them are the following matches: "Karpaty vs Polissia (27.11.2022), LNZ vs Epicentr (14.04.2023), Polissia vs Obolon (23.04.2023), LNZ vs Polissia (01.05.2023), LNZ vs Niva (06.05.2023), Polissia vs Kremin (14.05.2023).
