Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin has told how he reacted to Mircea Lucescu's decision to lead Dynamo.
"I took it badly because we were side by side for 12 years. We were like a family. In Europe it is difficult to find such an example, when a coach for 12 years leads one club, and then leaves for a major competitor. We were like Yin and Yang, experienced a lot of victories, there were also defeats. And then it all turned around.
But today that has faded into the background and if we had met, I think we would have had a kindly conversation. For one thing, time has passed and everyone has cooled down. After the war started, views on many things changed," Palkin said in an interview with Goncharova's Youtube channel.
