It is not yet known whether Maksimov plans to combine the two positions, or whether he will leave his position as Polesye's sporting director.
"Zvyagel" in the last season of the second league had a pretty good spring part of the championship and took fifth place. As for Maksimov's coaching career, his last job before joining Polesie was at Vorskla Poltava, with which he reached the Ukrainian Cup final in the 2019/20 season. And in the 2021/22 season he rose with the Poltava club to the European Cup zone.
