Famous Ukrainian coach Oleh Fedorchuk commented on the return of midfielder Andriy Yarmolenko to Dynamo.

By nature, Andriy is a leader and, perhaps, he can pull through the first games on emotions and feelings alone. In football terms, it will be difficult later. "Dynamo is having problems in all areas. Yarmolenko can add to the attack, but there are also problems in defence. He won't be able to cover all the holes. I think he will help the team psychologically first of all.
He will help the coaching staff more. I saw the latest news that Yarmolenko will work for the club afterwards. He is like Maldini and Zanetti for Milan clubs. I think that he will play for a year or two and help the young ones get back on their feet. I like Andriy's character. He is, of course, special in his own way, but he is easy to communicate with. No offence to Shevchenko, but this trait is better in Yarmolenko. I am optimistic about this transition. He had a very difficult career, he wasn't even on the list of the most promising players at Dynamo's academy.
We can see that he has proved everything, worked hard and received well-deserved recognition. He is a fighter, and this impresses me, these qualities will help him not only in football but also in management. Yarmolenko can even change the management of Kyiv for the better thanks to his foreign experience.
In the national team, we saw that Rebrov changed his functions and position. But this will have to be decided by Lucescu. And he is a proud coach, the Romanian coach will not release Yarmolenko for no reason or because of his big name in Ukraine. Lucescu does not make unexpected decisions, and we can predict him. I think that Andriy will still be a wing player.
The club understands that such a signing is a blow to a young player, but he will learn and compete with the star. Yarmolenko's main goal at Dynamo is to psychologically lift the team out of the depression it has fallen into. It seems to me that the club took him for this very purpose, and there will be time for the youngsters. Yarmolenko hasn't played much at a high level in the last two years. Only matches in the national team were bright in his performance. All players of all ages are facing the same challenges. You don't need to overestimate yourself and expect new victories all the time.
He needs to play at Dynamo as if he were in the national team. He works hard there, both in the first team and as a substitute - he still gives his all. Shevchenko returned to Dynamo more nervous. You have to face the truth and understand that you don't get younger every year. I think Yarmolenko weighed the pros and cons. He is a very nice person off the pitch. He helps his hometown, organises tournaments in Chernihiv, invests in a sports school.
To be honest, I like his character better than the one Shevchenko had when the star returned to Dynamo. That's why I think Yarmolenko will succeed," Fedorchuk said.
