As Dynamo.kiev.ua learnt, former Dynamo Kiev defender Goran Sablic was one of the candidates for the post of Zorya Luhansk head coach this summer.
The 43-year-old Croatian was considered by Zoria president Evgeny Geller, but in the end the choice was made in favor of Serbian specialist Nenad Lalatovic. It was expected that another Croatian - Mladen Bartulovic would be Sablic's assistant in the Luhansk team, and he will eventually become a member of Lalatovic's coaching staff.
It should be added that Sablic is close to Vadim Shabliaj's famous ProStar agency: his younger brother Peter Sablic represents the interests of that company.
As for the coaching career of Goran Sablic, he already has some experience of independent work: he led Croatian Split, Bosnian Shiroki Breg and Sarajevo, as well as Moldovan Sheriff.
It should be recalled that Sablic played for Dynamo Kyiv from 2002 to 2010.
