Shakhtar defender Nikolay Matvienko commented on the scandalous episode with the free-kick goal against Veres (1-1).

- "I took the ball, approached the referee, he demonstratively pointed to the whistle and asked me if I was going to blow the whistle. I said no, put the ball down and scored. This is a question to Veres players, why they didn't sort it out, but not to the referee or me," Matvienko said in a comment to Shakhtar's official website.
