Well-known manager and expert Vyacheslav Zakhovailo commented on the results of the first match of the 3rd qualifying round of the Europa League between Czech Slavia and Dnipro-1 (3-0), which took place yesterday in Prague.
"I admit, I expected more from Dnipro-1. Looking from the stands, I had the impression that the teams from different leagues played at the level. "Dnipro-1" looks, to put it mildly, not convincing. In terms of class and skill they were inferior in almost all components of the game. Namely: it lost one-on-one battles in all areas; in possession of the ball, almost all passes - across and back; and everything was very slow, there was no quickness of work on the ball.
And this level - the championship of the baths...I'm not talking about simple mistakes in the accuracy of passes near the penalty area.
Unfortunately, we did not guess with the line-up. I never understood what Blanco and Filippov were doing on the pitch.
In the second half the red card of a Slavia player saved us from defeat...Well, this is already a lyric. The fact is undeniable: for the whole game there were two shots on goal and two corners. How do you want to play and win in European cups?
What caught my eye... The selection of players. The average height of the team is a metre in cap and skates. There is no athleticism at all, not to mention the speed data of the attacking players. The exception - the substitute player with number 99 (Bill - ed.) I liked him. He fought, clung to the ball...
But come on... Miracles don't happen. We'll wait for better times. I understand that...", - wrote Zakhovailo on his page in the social network Facebook.
