One defender is from the Czech Republic, the second one is a candidate for the Colombian national team. However, Kyiv coach Mircea Lucescu vetoed the potential transfers.

According to our information, the Czech Republic player was not suitable due to the fact that he is right-handed, and Lucescu wants to see another left-back in the team. As for the Colombian, his level was insufficient and he does not fit Lucescu's style.

Now Dynamo have four centre-backs - Maksym Dyachuk, Oleksandr Sirota, Cristian Bilovar and Denys Popov. The latter missed the return match of the Conference League against Aris due to an injury.
