Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp shared his thoughts on the struggle in the transfer market.
- "It's difficult to compete with Chelsea and clubs from the Gulf countries. You all know the reasons for this. Some clubs conduct transfer campaigns differently from the rest, and no one understands 100 per cent how it works. It is very difficult for us, as an ordinary club, to keep up with them.
What they are doing is good, I don't blame anyone. Our transfer window closes on 31 August, and in Saudi Arabia it's three weeks later, so they can come again. This makes life even more difficult.
There's nothing wrong with someone developing another league, China is trying to do it, maybe the US, but endless money creates problems. It would be great if someone could find a solution. But yeah, it's more difficult now.
It's actually easy for me to convince players to come to Liverpool. If I called a million players, they would come here immediately, but we cannot spend money uncontrollably," said Jürgen Klopp.
