The mother of the suspended president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, Luis Rubiales, Angeles Behar, has gone on a hunger strike. This was reported by Marca.

It is known that Behar locked herself in a church in the city of Motril and announced that she was starting a hunger strike. She said that an "inhuman and bloody hunt had been launched against her son, which he did not deserve". The official's mother promised to stay in church "day and night" until justice is done in her son's case.

As a reminder, FIFA temporarily suspended Rubiales for 90 days for kissing a Spanish national team player at the award ceremony after the Women's World Cup final.
