A UEFA spokesman said the organisation had no plans to increase the amount of compensatory time in European and national team tournaments following the example of the APL and FIFA and APL.

"This is absurd. Already they compensate 12, 13, 14 minutes all the time. We are constantly criticising the busy calendar and the large number of matches. And now there's more compensatory time. It's madness, it's not going to happen," UEFA's press office was quoted by Reuters as saying.
