The services of now former Dynamo Kyiv captain Serhiy Sidorchuk were offered to three leading Belgian clubs - Anderlecht, Gent and Genk. However, none of them showed any interest in the player.

The real interest to Sidorchuk was shown by Westerlo and Leuven. Westerlo made the transfer, because it offered the best financial conditions to Dynamo and the player himself.
We would like to add that the search for a team for Sidorchuk was handled by agent Serhiy Serebrennikov, who has very good connections in Belgium.
