Yesterday, 7 September, elections to the Board of the European Clubs Association (ECA) took place.
According to the organisation's official website, 32 representatives from different clubs were elected to represent the interests of the ECA for the next 4 years.
Shakhtar's CEO Serhiy Palkin also ran for the position, but he did not receive the required number of votes. Nasser Al-Khelaifi, president of PSG, was elected chairman of the Association of European Clubs.
The first meeting will take place from 27 to 28 September in Warsaw.
The ECA is the only independent organisation officially recognised by UEFA and FIFA that represents the interests of 330 European clubs.
