A scandal marked one of yesterday's matches of the Euro 2024 qualifying cycle, in which the national teams of Romania and Kosovo met in Bucharest (2-0).
Romanian fans first threw firecrackers on the pitch, chanting political slogans, and then hung two banners with inscriptions such as: "Kosovo is Serbia", "Bessarabia is Romania".
As a result, in the 18th minute of the match, the head referee stopped the match and took the teams to the locker rooms. After order was restored in the stands, the game continued.
