The new head coach of Dnipro-1, Yuriy Maksymov, gave his first interview after signing a contract with the Dnipro club.
Yuriy Maksimov- It is said that you agreed to Dnipro-1's offer quite quickly. What was the main motivation for you?
- There is a strong team here that has already made a name for itself. Plus, the factor of the city where I used to play is very important to me. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the management of my previous club for their understanding.
- Now you will have a meeting with the players - what will be your first words to them?
- They are all footballers, professionals. Yes, the last results were negative, but life goes on, and you can't give up. Everything is ahead!
- What are the main changes for the players? The game model, the requirements for discipline, everyday life, maybe something else?
- The most important thing is discipline. The guys have to understand that they get paid for their favourite work, so they have to go out and fulfil the requirements.
- There are a few days left before the match against Kolos. How are you going to prepare for the game?
- The most important thing is to see how the guys are training psychologically, their emotions. And then we will build a plan for the game.
