Following this week's European Cup matches, Ukraine has worsened its position in the UEFA coefficient table.
We shall remind you that this week Shakhtar Donetsk lost to Portuguese Porto (1-3) in the first round of the Champions League group stage, while Zorya Luhansk drew with Belgian Gent (1-1) in the first round of the Conference League group stage.
As a result, Ukraine dropped from 17th to 18th place in the UEFA coefficient table and now are even further away from 15th place (countries that occupy places 1 to 15 in the table delegate two representatives to the Champions League, not one).
Recall that the final table of UEFA coefficients in the current season will determine the representation of countries in the European Cup season 2025/26. Next season Ukraine, as before, will be represented in the Champions League by two teams.
