The media are reporting Bayern Munich's interest in Girona winger and Ukraine international Viktor Tsygankov. Famous journalist Artem Frankov commented on the rumours surrounding the Munich team and the future footballer.

Artem Frankov

- How realistic is the rumour and how competent is the source?

- Who is reporting it? If it's Bild, I don't believe it. Aroged? I don't even know. Starting such rumours is an agent's task. That is, there must be such a continuous transfer interest in the player.

As for Bayern's interest, I am absolutely calm and don't really believe in it yet. First of all, Bayern have plenty of players to play, including on the right. Is this due to the fact that Gnabry broke his collarbone? But in any case, if we are talking about interest in Tsygankov, the transfer can only happen in the winter, and by that time Gnabry will definitely recover.

- Who are Tsygankov's potential rivals at Bayern and how likely is it that one of them will leave?

- Bayern usually play all-rounders on the wings. And this has been the case since the days of Ribery, who could play both on the right and left if necessary. Now they have guys like Kingsley Coman, Sane and Gnabry. All of them, I believe, are top-level players and it will be very difficult to compete with them, especially since Tsygankov is injured, which makes it very difficult for him to adapt to a team like Bayern.

In general, I think Tsygankov is very lucky to be at Girona, where he has a very good chance of getting a place in the first team, where he has no competition from top-level players. So, of course, I understand that you need to strive for the maximum, and when a club like Bayern is interested in you, it's always flattering. But the fact is that the giants are constantly interested in dozens of players. So they can look at them, compile the information they receive into a database. If the need really arises, they can immediately extract this information from there. If there are adequate sports directors with an adequate staff, then this is how things work. And interest alone means nothing. Nothing at all.

- How much can Girona make, taking into account the percentage for Dynamo?

- I believe that, of course, Dynamo should welcome this kind of deal in every way possible, because the team needs money. Moreover, Tsygankov's departure for obscenely small money is primarily designed for further resale of the player (the Spaniards paid Kyiv €5 million and will also owe a percentage of the amount of the future transfer: 50% of the subsequent sale of the player, if the amount does not exceed 20 million euros, or 30% of the amount exceeding 20 million euros - approx. E.C.).

These are very good conditions, in my opinion. Both Girona and Dynamo are very interested in Tsygankov's transfer. So let's help them with this. Let's write in every possible way that yes, indeed, why not?

"Bayern looks a bit short-staffed right now, and in particular, an extra player on the right wing, at least to compete, would be a good idea.

- How much can Bayern pay for a player?

- The days of the Salihamidzic era of ridiculous spending are over, so we can talk about something between €20 million and €30 million. I would settle on the amount of 20 million.

- Do you see the "next Tsygankov" in the UPL - a winger who could move to a strong mid-table side in La Liga or another Top 5 championship and prove himself there?

- I think Voloshyn could prove himself. He does play on the left. So after a while he will need new incentives to move to the next level. But in any case, if we get an adequate offer, Dynamo is unlikely to refuse such conditions.

- What is the best thing for Tsygankov to do now?

- He still needs to play at Girona, they are having a successful season. They can actually compete for the European Cup zone for sure. Everything is going well for the team now. So, in principle, if you take purely sporting considerations, then, of course, you can't leave. But it is also clear that business considerations and some personal conditions are always superimposed.

In my opinion, Dynamo overstayed their welcome, and they kept him, which is why they had to act through Girona on such rather controversial terms, hoping for further resales. So here, too, you never know where you'll find or lose.

- Inter, Lazio, Brighton, Wolverhampton, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are also rumoured to be interested in Tsygankov. Should the Ukrainian move to any of these clubs?

- You need to ask Tsygankov himself whether he thinks he is a fully formed footballer or whether he needs a coach under whose guidance he can grow in individual skills. Because in this respect, I would certainly say that Roberto De Zerbi, who manages Brighton, is the most promising, and under him the players really show amazing progress.

As for Inter... In my opinion, there is a big problem in tactics, because Milan play 3-5-2 with wingers, and Tsygankov is a right midfielder or right striker. That is, I simply do not see him in Inter's current scheme. Plus, Inter still has Cuadrado in reserve.

Talking about Fenerbahce is the Turkish championship. It is in any case a downgrade compared to Spain. I would never advise anyone to make such a move. No matter how much they pay, because he needs to go to Saudi Arabia for money.

"Lazio is an interesting option. Especially since Tsygankov once successfully played against them in Rome under Oleksandr Hatskevich, 2:2. Viktor was very good. Even then, perhaps, he was passing his Dynamo peak to some extent. Lazio always needs players, but now the Romans are in a difficult situation in the Italian championship, and it is unclear how they will get out of it. So I would believe in the Lazio option.

- Should Viktor expect an offer from Manchester City in the future?

- Let's think about Manchester City instead. If we set goals, we should set maximum goals and not think about some vague prospects or draw castles in the sand like Bayern Munich. But Manchester City, by definition, will be looking at Girona.

If Guardiola's team is really interested, it will be a sign that Tsygankov is seen as a top-class player, ready to solve the highest challenges. If I heard about Manchester City's interest, that would be very cool.
