Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Oleksandr Aliyev has named a Russian footballer who wrote to him after the outbreak of full-scale war.

"[After the war started] Ilya Maksimov, with whom I was at Spartak's children's school, wrote to me. He asked me, 'How is it going? I answered that there are rockets flying, Russians have come here and are committing genocide, killing people, mocking, raping. That was it! After that, no one else wrote or called me from Russia," Aliyev said in an interview with Dmitry Gordon.
