The 10th round of the French championship, which took place last weekend, was marked by a loud scandal. The match between Marseille and Lyon, which was supposed to take place yesterday and was rightly considered the centrepiece of the round, was not held at all because of riots committed by aggressive fans of the home team.
Fabio Grosso after being attacked by a Marseille fan Shortly before the start of the match, Marseille fans attacked and stoned a Lyon bus that had arrived at the stadium with the team. As a result of this incident, Lyon head coach Fabio Grosso suffered a head injury. After receiving first aid on the spot, he was taken to a clinic and the match was postponed indefinitely.
In addition to Grosso, injuries as a result of the attack of Marseille fans received other representatives of the Lyon team, but none of them were hospitalised.
