Former Ajax midfielder Jonah van Sant Schip has been appointed interim head coach of the Amsterdam team. The Dutch specialist will take over as the club's technical manager from the summer of 2024.
The contract between van Sant Schip and Ajax is for less than two years - until June 2025. The former Greek national team coach will work until the end of this season, after which he will become the technical manager of the Amsterdam club.
After eight rounds of the Dutch league, Ajax is in last, 18th place in the standings with only five points. Last season, the Amsterdam team finished in third place.
