Tottenham may have points deducted in the Premier League. This was reported by The Times.
According to the investigation, unlicensed agent Mitchell Thomas played a major role in the transfer of striker Jermain Defoe from Tottenham to Portsmouth in 2008.
In the same year, the Football Association of England banned the participation of unlicensed agents in transfers. This is considered a serious offence that can result in points being deducted.
In 2008, 10 points were deducted from Luton for a similar offence. 15 years ago, an independent arbitration panel reviewed Defoe's transfer and found no violations in Tottenham's actions. However, the Football Association may reconsider the decision if there is new evidence.
Earlier it became known that Everton had been deducted points for violating the FFP.
