A few days before the draw for the Euro 2024 play-offs, UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin visited Serbia, where he said he would like to see Bosnia and Herzegovina and other teams from the Balkan region at the European Championships.
"I am pleased that three teams from the region are close to qualifying for the European Championships: Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia. I would like Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia to qualify as well, but they have no chance.
Bosnia and Herzegovina will play in the play-offs, but the way they play... Of course, I would like as many teams from the region to qualify for the European Championships as possible," Cefereen was quoted as saying by the Bombardier telegram channel, citing the Saraevo Times.
