The 57-year-old Dutchman has worked with van Leeuwen at Qairat (director of the academy), Maccabi T-A, Zorya and Shakhtar (assistant coach).
Possible terms of cooperation are likely to be discussed by Ateveld and Luhansk club president Yevhen Heller in the near future.
