"Columbus paid Osijek about a million euros for me. I was shocked because I was flying to the US in business class for the first time in my life. There I was met by a car as if I were a superstar. The coach told me that he had chosen me from a number of candidates. The first months I was angry with myself because I wasn't ready, I needed time.

After the win, I cried because it was my first trophy. Also because of the situation in Ukraine, where there is a war going on and people are in a terrible situation.

I plan to continue my career in Columbus, where I will start the new season," Cheberko said in an interview with the Vzbirna YouTube channel.
