Yesterday, 30 December, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv, hitting a residential building in the city centre, according to Mayor Terekhov.
There is serious destruction there, a fire broke out. There is also damage to civilian infrastructure. One of them is Kharkiv Palace Hotel, the owner of which is Metalist president Oleksandr Iaroslavskyi.
It is already known about eight victims, wrote the head of the Regional State Administration Sinegubov. They were hospitalised, four in a light condition, another four - in the average. There is damage to civil infrastructure: medical centre, apartment blocks, shops and other public places, as well as transport.
