The former head coach of Dynamo Kyiv, Mircea Lucescu, told us how he formed the "golden generation" of the Romanian national team in the first half of the 1990s.

- In the 80s, I brought a large group of young players to the national team: Haji, Leketuş, Balint, Reducoi, Lupescu, Prunia, Lupu... Then I worked with Dinamo and had ten national teams. In 1990, we won the Cup and the championship. In the team that played in the 1/4 finals of the World Cup in 1994, in addition to the ten Dynamo players, there were five more players whom I promoted," Fanatik quoted Lucescu as saying.
