FC Dynamo (Kyiv), starting from the spring of 1936, participated in all 54 championships of the former USSR. And, it must be said, brightly and successfully. After all, our favourite team won the title of the strongest in the country 13 times (a record).
The Kyivians won their last set of championship honours in the 1990 tournament, beating the Moscow clubs Dynamo and CSKA by three points.
In the glorious biography of Dynamo Kyiv three consecutive autumns were "golden". Let's talk about this bright period.
1966. Oleg Bazilevich finished his career in Kyiv club. Valeriy Porkuyan moved to Dynamo from Chornomorets. The national team players Leonid Ostrovsky, Jozsef Sabo, Viktor Serebryanikov, Viktor Bannikov, Valeriy Porkuyan were absent from the team for a long time, preparing for the training camp for the World Championship 1966 in England.
Dynamo coach Viktor Alexandrovich Maslov, taking into account the situation, introduced Yevgeniy Rudakov, Anatoliy Puzach, Anatoliy Byshovets and Vladimir Muntyan into the main squad. All of them immediately organically joined the team.
Having become leaders at the start of the championship, Kyiv did not give up the first place to the competitors until the finish. On 19 October, 6 rounds before the end of the championship Dynamo became unreachable. The wards of "grandfather" (Viktor Maslov had this nickname) scored 56 points, scored 66 goals and conceded only 17 times. The champion was 9 points ahead of the silver medallists from Rostov-on-Don.
The team's top scorer was Byshovets, who scored 19 goals in 32 games. The Kyivians also won the tournament of understudies.
In the fight for the Cup of the country Dynamo from the capital of Ukraine knocked out Dynamo (Stavropol), Zenit (Leningrad), Sparta (Moscow). On 8 November, in the final match, the Ukrainian team defeated Moscow Torpedo 2-0.
Thus, the team from the banks of the Dnieper made a "golden" double - its championship medals were in the crystal Cup of the country.

1967. This season was a continuation of the previous one for Dynamo Kyiv. The champion was 5 points ahead of its main rivals - Moscow teammates. In 36 meetings the Kyivians conceded only 11 goals, for the whole second round - 4. The great merit in this is the goalkeepers - Viktor Bannikov and Evgeniy Rudakov.
Four Kyiv players - Vladimir Shchegolkov, Andrey Biba, Vasily Turianchik and Viktor Serebryanikov - became "Honoured Masters of Sport".
1968. That season Dynamo won the championship title for the third time in a row. This achievement could not be repeated by any other team.
In the championship with the participation of 20 teams (four Ukrainian teams - Dynamo, Shakhtar, Zorya and Chornomorets) the Kyivians again confidently won the gold medals. They were 5 points ahead of Spartak (won the silver medal) and 7 points ahead of Torpedo (bronze).
Anatoliy Puzach scored 11 goals in 32 matches, Vitaliy Khmelnitsky sent a goal less in the opponents' goal.
