On Monday, 22 January, Dynamo Kyiv began work at a training camp in Turkey.

Just like last winter, the team is preparing for the spring season in a region popular with football clubs near Antalya. This year, Dynamo's youth team is based right next to the main team, on the shared premises of neighbouring hotels.

We would like to remind you that the Dynamo teams arrived in Antalya late on Sunday evening, having spent the whole day on the road. Therefore, the main task after the long journey was to regain strength for fruitful work on the starting day of the training camp.

On the very first day, Oleksandr Shovkovskyi's team held two training sessions on the football field. By the way, the field is located directly on the territory of the White and Blues' hotel. Next to the Kyiv team, Bulgarian Levski is preparing for the spring part of the season on the neighbouring field.

The morning session began with a motivational speech by Oleksandr Volodymyrovych, who outlined the team's work plan and goals for this long winter training camp. The coach stressed the importance of discipline, dedication and motivation of each player who is part of the team and dreams of the team's overall success.

The speech ended with congratulations to the birthday boys - Oleksandr Tymchyk, who celebrated his birthday a few days ago, and Ruslan Neshcheret, whose birthday fell on the first day of the training camp. Both of them received gifts from the team in the form of commemorative T-shirts, and the partners organised a traditional "corridor of honour" for them.

The work on the pitch began with an intensive warm-up, during which the players worked with fitness bands, performed stretching exercises and jogging. The main work with the balls was devoted to passing and keeping the ball in the squares.

Andriy Yarmolenko, who continues to recover from surgery, is working under a separate programme, but on the pitch. For now, Andriy is doing running work under the guidance of a rehabilitation coach.

Also, on the first day, a group of players who are gaining optimal fitness worked out separately from the general group under the guidance of a physical training coach. So, for now, the players will receive different degrees of stress.

While goalkeeping coach Mykhailo Mykhailov had three goalkeepers at his disposal during the morning training session, in the evening there were five. The goalkeeping group was joined by Heorhii Bushchan, who did not take part in the morning session, and the goalkeeper of the Kyiv youth team, Viacheslav Surkis.

The evening session was full of game exercises. While the goalkeepers were honing their skills in special exercises, the field players were working on passing and controlling the ball in limited areas of the field marked out by the coaching staff in advance.

This was followed by an interesting exercise on a small pitch, but with a large goal - divided into two teams, the field players could pass forward and shoot at the goal with their heads only.

The team also worked on quick attacks in threes - this exercise was one of the most intense. The training session ended with a mini-tournament of three teams, which is traditional for the training camp. The first mini-tournament at this winter training camp was won by the team in green bibs, and the author of the championship ball, Anton Tsarenko, was literally carried by his partners.

The second day of the winter training camp promises to be no less intense - the team will also have two training sessions on the green lawn.
