As Sport.ua has learned, the relevant ministry has refused to allow the Karpaty first-league players to travel to Spain for an international tournament, arguing that only UPL teams have the right to travel abroad.
According to our source, the Green and Whites are planning to leave for the preparation stage in Zakarpattia on 9 February and are now actively looking for sparring partners. In March, they will most likely train at their country base in Bartatov.
Head coach Myron Markevych and his assistant Volodymyr Yezerskyi are currently absent from the Karpaty team, as they are away at a tournament in Norway as part of the Ukrainian national veterans' team.
Currently, Karpaty lead the Champions Group of the First League with 45 points.
