UAF President Andriy Shevchenko said that he is currently focused solely on his work as head of the Ukrainian Football Association.
- Do I plan to return to coaching? During the full-scale war, there were many offers, but there was no other decision for me - I did not consider them because I knew that I could be needed. It's very important to me because I have family here, I grew up in Ukraine. Ukraine means a lot to me. Now it's a completely different job for me, and I want to concentrate only on my work as president of the UAF, because it's a very responsible job. It is necessary that those steps(9 points of the programme) are implemented. We want to make the UAF a trustworthy organisation. Then there will be a completely different attitude towards the association.
I am not even considering whether it will be realistic to return to coaching now. I have a job to do, I have to do it. I have just started. This is the second day, and you are already asking me about my coaching future (smiles)," Shevchenko said on the Bombardier YouTube channel.
