The Ministry of Youth and Sports published yesterday the approved changes in the expanded composition of the Ukrainian national football teams for 2024. The list also includes the son of UAF president Andriy Shevchenko - striker Kristian Shevchenko, who currently plays in the youth team of Watford (U-18).
The 17-year-old player's name appears in the reserve squad of the Ukrainian national youth team (U-19).
Interestingly, the head coach of this team is the ex-head coach of Dnipro-1 Dmytro Mykhailenko, who has not yet officially received such an appointment. At the end of last year, the 50-year-old left the post of head coach of the Cypriot team from the second division Akritas Chlorakas, which he had been in charge of since July 2023.
We shall remind you that it was reported earlier that Christian Shevchenko recently applied for Ukrainian citizenship.
