Famous Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Kovpak summed up the results of Ukraine's European Cup season.

The level of the championship is measured by the number of quality legionnaires, and we don't have them. A decline in the national championship inevitably leads to a deterioration in results in the international arena.
And it will be even better if we keep four clubs in European competitions. Therefore, we should not blame our clubs for failures in European campaigns. They understand everything, but they can't do anything about it. It's a miracle that we still have football, have our own championship and at least some victories in the international arena. Although it is clear: if we compare our achievements before 2014 with the current ones, it is a complete failure," Kovpak said.
