Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Oleksandr Karavayev commented on the draw in the match of the 20th round of the Ukrainian championship against Veres on UPL.TV.
- Oleksandr, it was a rather nervous match against Veres. Did you expect it to be like that?
- Yes, because we understand how all other teams tune in to us. We knew it would be a very tough game. We had to take our chances and not let it come to such a conclusion in the end. Therefore, we are to blame. We will draw conclusions and work on.
- Why did you fail to put pressure on your opponent?
- There are many factors here: experience, concentration. Perhaps we got complacent somewhere, because we were leading and didn't think what might happen at the end of the match. Although last year we already had a situation when we were winning the whole match, we could have conceded in the 89th minute, but then Bushchan saved a penalty. Again, we are to blame for bringing this situation to the last seconds and getting a penalty.
- Would you comment on the penalty?
- It seemed to me that our player was the first on the ball, and the Veres player was lying down behind. But if the referee watched the video replay of the moment and saw a violation, what can we say? It means there was a violation.
