Sefer Alibayev, the former agent of Valencia and Ukraine forward Roman Yaremchuk, expressed his opinion on the forward's performance, who scored a goal and an assist in the recent Euro 2024 play-off match against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Roman had a slump, but he is a determined guy. He needed to score. The striker is an addict. If Roman had not scored, Mudryk would have been the best player of the match. They played against him and Dovbyk personally, but he took part in two goals.
Now Yaremchuk has started to play more confidently for the club and score. "Valencia plays with two strikers, which is convenient for him. He is now in a good physical and psychological condition. In general, Roman is a specific guy. He doesn't talk to the press a lot and sometimes withdraws into himself, a little bit closed. However, this is to his advantage. He is good at analysing and drawing conclusions. Roman already has experience in dealing with crisis situations. He knows that calmness, determination and hard work can help you get through difficulties.
Why didn't he manage to play at Dynamo in his time? "Dynamo is not a strange club for Roman. He came to Kyiv when he was 12 years old from Lviv, but it didn't work out for him. "Dynamo then relied on Artem Besedin. So, where is Besedin now, and where is Yaremchuk? Yaremchuk is mentally different and more versatile. In general, Roman was the third or fourth striker at Dynamo back then, because Demerys Mbokani and Junior Moraes also played for Serhii Rebrov.
Now everyone is talking about Vladyslav Vanat, but he is not yet a player of that calibre. Like Yaremchuk when he went to Ghent. In my opinion, he plays because he has virtually no competitors," Alibayev said.
