Dynamo U-19 head coach Ihor Kostiuk shared his impressions of the match with Shakhtar's youth team. Dynamo won a very important victory on a foreign field.
- Comment on the victory, Dynamo is back on top after a difficult and emotional match...
- In the first half, we did not recognise our team, there were a lot of mistakes. At half-time, we made adjustments and planned to play a different style of football, but the sending off at the beginning of the second half changed our plans. It was good that we scored the second goal on the counterattack and brought the match to victory. The guys were patient, rebuilt, closed the zones, acted in defence. The opponent managed to create two chances, scored one goal and missed the other. We played almost the entire half with ten men, and in terms of dedication and attitude to the game, this is a well-deserved victory.
- The first goal was scored in the dressing room. To what extent did it help you to get ready and play the second half more calmly?
- During the break, we talked to the guys. We emphasised that we need to play more attacking football, that we need to give more constructive and quality.
- How fair was Zakharchenko's sending off? How do you assess the refereeing in general?
- I will not comment on the refereeing in general. As for the sending off, Zakharchenko played with his own player, and Kremchanin went for a tackle. Let's see what the referee wrote in the protocol. Globally, the referee did not affect the outcome of the match, we have no complaints against the referees. But we will review the moment with the sending-off, I can't say anything about it yet.
- Balaba has a birthday today, he scored the winning goal.
- Nazar was a real leader and captain today, he did a lot of work and scored the winning goal.
- Dynamo has two matches left on the road. Will it be difficult?
- I told the guys that there are two finals ahead, two decisive tough matches. Nothing is over yet in the fight for first place.
- Today was a very emotional game. Will you have enough emotions for the next matches?
- It depends on the coaching staff, how we can set the players up. The guys will have a weekend off, after which we will start preparing with full concentration.
