On Monday, June 17, the Ukrainian national team lost to Romania (0: 3) in the opening match of Euro 2024, which took place in Munich. Here is the post-match press conference of the teams' head coaches.

Serhiy REBROV, head coach of the Ukrainian national team:

- Obviously, there were different components of the game. We had the ball but didn't create any chances. No one expected this result. Romania is a good team. I said before the match that they are a football nation. They know how to play football, and they showed it today.

Now we have to focus on the next game, against Slovakia. We have a very serious game ahead of us. We have to talk to each other and prepare for the next game.

Edward Iordanescu, head coach of the Romanian national team:

- I would like to thank every Romanian on the planet. I know they were with us today. It was a fantastic performance by the whole team. If you had any doubts, I think you now believe me that we have a great team. Congratulations to the guys! This is just incredible!

Since I joined the national team, I've had some tough moments. It was not always easy. We had other great performances. We have had golden generations with great performances, but this generation puts their heart and soul into it. This team has put their best foot forward.

These are emotions that are very difficult to put into words. My family lived with us every moment. I had to send four cars to pick them up, so I have to thank them for coming with us. My family means everything to me, even if I wasn't a coach, my family and I would probably still be here.
