Dnipro-1 Commercial Director Vyacheslav Fridman commented on Yuriy Bereza's statement to him and spoke about the current situation at the Dnipro club.
- Vyacheslav Yevhenovych, Bereza said that new investors are ready to come to Dnipro-1, provided that you and Rusol leave the club.
- First of all, I don't comment on outright lies, I just don't know how to do it. Secondly, I am not a shareholder, but an employee of the club, and I have no reason to leave. And thirdly, I want to give Berega some advice. Before he gives such stupid interviews, he should understand that if we start talking about his influence on the club, and especially if Rusol does it, he will look in a not very good light. Perhaps the time will come when we will start talking as well. I do not rule it out. I can say for sure now: I have not heard of any investor yet.
I'm ready to meet with any businessman Bereza provides, day or night, but to date, apart from a notary from Bereza asking us to rewrite the club's shares, no one has approached us. You must admit that we received a strange offer from a notary unknown to us.
- All right, are you ready to resign from Dnipro-1 if the investor sets such a condition?
- I don't want to throw around big words, but I'm always ready to resign to save Dnipro-1 - it's not a problem.
- How do you keep in touch with Bereza?
- I don't.
- Burbas said that in the winter Dnipro-1 borrowed 200 million from the president of Polissya Gennady Butkevich to finish the season.
- I first heard this information on Vatsko's program a few months ago, but if Vitya had called me right away, I would have put an end to these strange rumors.
I'll tell you - it's not true. "Dnipro-1 existed at the expense of our friendly structures, which have always been involved in financing. I often communicate with Butkevych, but I have never asked him for money for the existence of Dnipro-1. Having a long-standing friendly relationship with Butkevych, I regret only one thing - that he did not appear in our football 20 years ago.
- How are things going at Dnipro-1 now, will the team play in the new season?
- Rusol and I are looking for opportunities for the club to continue to operate. We are searching for a potential investor, and the work is ongoing.
- So Rusol is not at Karpaty yet, but at Dnipro-1?
- Rusol is still involved in both clubs. He has a responsibility to Dnipro-1 because he is a shareholder in the club. To whom will he transfer his authority at Dnipro-1? A specialist like Rusol cannot be replaced by one person. Perhaps several people will perform his functions: Polunin, Seleznyov and someone else.
- There was information that Dnipro-1 is ready to merge with an unnamed first league club. Is it true?
- We are working in different directions and are considering many options, including these. But while everything is complicated, everyone has taken time to think. There is still time before the start of the championship (August 3). It takes about 10-15 days to remove bans. We realize that Dnipro-1 will be short of players, so we have already reached agreements with some clubs on annual player leases. And in winter, let the new investor make a budget for the team.
- What is the situation with debts to players, coaches and staff?
- We are selling players and slowly paying off our debts. First of all, we are paying off debts to the regular staff of the base, stadium and academy, who have low salaries: security guards, electricians, cooks, agronomists, etc. We also find common ground with the players and coaches we let go. The process of debt repayment is underway.
