Ukrainian defender of English Everton Vitaliy Mykolenko is in the sphere of transfer interests of Italian Napoli, reports AreaNapoli.it.
According to the source, the Neapolitan club has been following the 25-year-old player for a long time. The publication writes that Mikolenko personally knows Napoli sporting director Maurizio Micheli, who told about the Ukrainian footballer to the current Napoli coach Antonio Conte back when he was coaching Inter (from 2019 to 2021).
It is also reported that Everton are not inclined to sell Mikolenko, but at the same time, the Liverpool club is interested in Napoli midfielder Jesper Lindström, and it is not excluded that there could be an exchange of these players. Moreover, their transfer value is comparable: Mikolenko according to Transfermarkt now costs 28 million euros, and Lindström - 22 million euros.
