Forward of the Ukrainian Olympic team: "I believed that I would be able to score until the very end"

Ukrainian Olympic team forward Ihor Krasnopir shared his impressions of the match against Morocco.

On July 27, the Ukrainian Olympic team defeated Morocco 2-1 in the second match of the group round of the 2024 Games football tournament. The author of the winning goal was the blue-and-yellow forward Ihor Krasnopir, who commented on his actions in the match.

"Rubchynskyi passed to Fedir, and he made a shot. I ran up and rolled the ball into the empty net with one touch. I believed until the very end that I would be able to score, find my moment, be in the right place somewhere. And so it happened. I am very happy. I thank God.

It was a very difficult victory. So hard that I don't even have enough emotions. It was especially hard to play with the opponent's fierce support from the stands. They put pressure, boo you... Somewhere, this factor was a deterrent, but we are professionals and must adapt to all circumstances.

We are moving on, because this victory has not completely solved anything. Now we think only about Argentina. We will prepare for it, analyze it and go for the win. We are forgetting this result and only moving forward!" said Krasnopir.
