On July 27, the press service of Kharkiv's Metalist 1925 officially announced the resignation of Viktor Skrypnyk as the team's head coach.
Along with Skrypnyk, his assistants also left the club: Sergei Popov and Grigory Yarmash, analytical coach Artem Chernyshev, and goalkeeping coach Andrey Nikitin.
According to TaToTake, Serhiy Karpenko, the coach of the club's youth team, will act as the coach of Metalist 1925. But only temporarily.
Karpenko took over Metalist 1925 in the summer of 2023. Together with the Kharkiv youth team, he took 12th place out of 16 in the Ukrainian U-19 Championship.
