Dnipro-1 Commercial Director Vyacheslav Fridman responded to former Dnipro head coach Yuriy Maksymov's statement that he was offended by the lack of transfers in the winter of 2024:
"What do you mean offended? We could not afford it at the time. I can say then that the club was offended by Maksymov because of the draw with Minaj or the defeat of Rukh. Rusol offered Maksymov several candidates at the time, I don't remember all their names, but Petriak hadn't had any playing practice for a while, and others didn't suit Maksymov for some other reason.
We took Ocheretko, who was quite expensive, and we couldn't afford anyone else. The team was fully equipped. I can't answer why there were so many injuries. Many people say that Maksymov was on the beach, where there is sand, and loaded the players so much that they could not return to the season. But he is a coach, I cannot tell him that he is doing something wrong. There were certain complaints, but not offenses," Friedman said.
