News from the camp of one of Dynamo Kyiv's rivals in the main stage of the Europa League. The management of Italian "Roma" has a serious conflict with the club's midfielder Nikola Zalewski.
The 22-year-old Pole's contract with the Romans expires in the coming summer, and in this situation, Turkish Galatasaray revealed their desire to buy the midfielder.
And the other day the parties agreed on such a transfer. "Roma" was to receive for such a transfer of 11 million euros (plus bonuses and interest on resale), and Zalewski agreed with "Galatasaray" contract with an annual salary of 2.5 million euros.
It seemed that the deal could be considered formalized, but Zalewski suddenly withdrew his consent to the transfer. Moreover, he did it on the penultimate day of the transfer window in Turkey, which actually derailed his transfer to Galatasaray.
In response to this development, Roma immediately offered Zalewski to sign a new contract until 2028 with a salary of 1 million euros per year, but even here the Pole answered "no".
Such behavior of the player led to drastic measures from the club's management: Zalewski was withdrawn from the Roma squad. He did not take part in yesterday's training session.
