Former Dynamo Kyiv midfielder Admir Mehmedi shared his memories of his performance at this club.
"Dynamo Kyiv was the only club that managed to fulfill the requirements of Zurich regarding my transfer. That's how I moved to my first foreign club. But I underestimated what it is like to be alone abroad at a young age (Mehmedi moved to Dynamo at the age of 20 - ed.). I couldn't speak the local language, I had problems with understanding writing, the culture was also completely different.
I was lonely at that point in my career. Eventually, I got a dog - a pug that I spontaneously bought while walking around the city. The dog was cramped in the small cage I saw him in. I will never forget that sight. I felt so sorry for him that I took him with me," Mehmedi said on the air of the podcast "FORZA!".
We will remind, Mehmedi played for Dynamo from 2012 to 2014, after which he moved to German Freiburg. During his career in the Ukrainian club, the Swiss played only 30 matches and scored two goals.
