The Georgian national team took control of the ball from the starting whistle, but it didn't lead to any sharpness at the gates of Ukraine. Moreover, it was the Ukrainians who created the first goal of the match - it was Sudakov who, in the 8th minute of the match, finished his team's attack with a shot from the right side of the penalty area of the Georgian national team, and the ball flew near the far post.
Further the game was played in an equal struggle and completely without sharpness and entertainment, but in the 35th minute the Ukrainian national team managed to open the score: as a result of interception in the Georgian national team's half of the field Mudryk received the ball, moved from the left flank to the central zone and sent the ball into the bottom corner of Mamardashvili's goal - 1:0.
The rest of the first half passed under the sign of attacks of the Georgian national team, but it did not lead to chances at the gates of Ukraine.
The second half began with another dangerous shot by Mudrik - he shot from the penalty area exactly under the crossbar, but the Georgian team was saved by Mamardashvili, who managed to convert the game to a corner.
In general, in the second half there was a relatively equal game on the field without much urgency - neither Ukraine nor Georgia had opportunities to change the score, creating only half chances at the opponent's goal.
In the end of the match Georgia forced the Ukrainians to "sit" on their own goal, and in the last ten minutes of the game "blue-yellow" spent in defense. But even in these conditions the Georgians had no chance to win back. However, in the 89th minute the ball was still in the Ukrainian goal, but the entire final stage of the Georgian team's attack was offside. As a result, the referee recorded a minimal victory of the Ukrainian national team - 1:0.
In the parallel match of the 3rd match of the 3rd round of the first group of Division "B" Czech Republic defeated Albania on its field - 2:0. As a result, the tournament position of the teams in this group took the following form:
1. Georgia - 6 points
2. Czech Republic - 6
3. Albania - 3
4. Ukraine - 3.
In the next round in this group on October 14 will play: Ukraine - Czech Republic, Georgia - Albania.
