Ukrainian coach Oleksandr Poklonsky commented on the poor results of Shakhtar Donetsk under Marino Pushic.
- "Shakhtar have an obvious decline. The quality of the game is low, the biggest problems are in defense. In the Ukrainian championship, the opponents have studied the way the Shakhtar players play. The team needs to change something. The players and coaches understand this. A serious conversation should take place between them.
But the management will give Pushych another chance. The coach needs to start by making the players do everything on the field faster. "Shakhtar are number one, they play a short medium pass, but they do everything very slowly. I hope Pushic will improve the game. But in the Champions League it will be even more difficult, as we have games against such powerful teams as Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund. After all, Young Boys, PSV and Brest are also strong now," the expert said.
