The legendary football player of Dynamo Kyiv and coach of the Ukrainian national team Andriy Bal has been gone for ten years.
Andriy BalAs Sport.ua has learned, a traditional all-Ukrainian youth tournament dedicated to the memory of Andriy Bal is being held in Novyi Rozdil, Lviv region.
The tournament, which ended on October 18, was attended by 9 teams of players born in 2011. The main prize was won by the pupils of Rozdillya Football Academy, who were ahead of the other winners from Mykolaiv and Stryi sports schools.
The organizers of the competition - the Novorozdilsk City and Mykolaiv District Councils, philanthropists Ihor Martyniuk and Oleksandr Kyryliuk, as well as Andriy Bal's brother Orest, who is currently the Deputy General Director of FC Veres - made sure that all teams received prizes, and each participant received a commemorative badge with a portrait of Andriy Bal and a booklet about his victorious path in football.
The prizes were presented by former Karpaty players Gennadiy Likhachev, Oleg Rodin and Volodymyr Bezubyak.
As a reminder, Honored Master of Sports Andrii Bal played for Karpaty Lviv, Dynamo Kyiv, Maccabi Maccabi and Bnei Yehuda Israel, and coached the Ukrainian national team, Vorskla and Chornomorets.
