Ukrainian Yana Voloshchenko, who is the mother of two children of former Dynamo Kyiv forward Brown Ideye, shared the court ruling that was in her favor in the alimony case.
- Now they have set an alimony debt amount plus penalties - altogether it’s $344,214. But in the summer there will be another court regarding the debt and this figure will rise to more than half a million.
- Are you satisfied with the court’s decision?
- I wanted to resolve everything amicably for a very long time. My posts on social media were aimed at having a conversation with Brown like normal people and closing all issues. But he was not willing to communicate. During all this time, he only wrote me three messages - that he “doesn’t care about the contracts” and “goodbye”.
His nonsense, which he said in 2023 - that these are not his children, really affected me. After that, I told him: “Okay. If you don’t want to resolve everything amicably, then let the court handle the matter.” The court examined all the facts and made the correct decision.
I believe that Brown is a liar, coward, and criminal. No matter what, no one has the right to violate the rights of children, especially during a war. The whole world is helping Ukraine today, and Brown at this time abandoned his own children. This affected me very deeply morally.
If he owed me money, then let him go to hell, I can earn for myself, but no one has the right to violate the rights of children. Moreover, to sink so low and blatantly lie. I want justice. That is my main message.
- Is it really possible to collect the money awarded by the court from Ideye, considering that he is not in Ukraine?
- Now I have the court’s ruling in my hands and I will address it to the Football Federation of Nigeria and Interpol.
- Where is Ideye now? Transfermarkt states that he is a player of Kuwaiti Al-Yarmouk.
- He was in Kuwait in 2022, but now he has been sitting in Nigeria for two years and hasn’t gone anywhere because he is afraid of being arrested. This information was told to me by our mutual friend. But I want to tell him: “Brown, the Interpol office operates in Nigeria as well. And I won’t rest until I bring this matter to a close. I won’t let anyone behave like this towards children.”
I know that Brown paid Nigerian journalists not to publish my interview and not to cover this situation. Some printed it, and some contacted me, then disappeared. I asked them: “What happened?”. And they, after talking to Brown, replied that this topic is no longer relevant.
I advise Brown to abide by the law, as I am not the only woman with children from him, to whom he will not pay alimony. There is also Francesca from Switzerland and girls from other countries where he played. Francesca has also taken him to court. He won't be able to hide in Nigeria! This story is already gaining international scale. I was in shock when, after breaking up with Brown, girls from other countries started writing to me saying: “Oh, I also have a child from Ideye”. Can you imagine this mess?
- Has Ideye already ended his player career?
- He is sitting in Nigeria without a job and writing on social media that he really wants to work. He should have behaved properly and not damaged his reputation. Brown still wants to play, but by performing in Nigeria, he will not receive the money he wants. I know that he has offers from Nigerian clubs, but they do not attract him financially. This is significantly less money than what he earned in Europe.
- What was his salary at Dynamo?
- I do not know specific figures, but it is over $100,000 per month.
- Is Ideye still married to his Nigerian wife Damka?
- In the photos he posts, Brown is usually alone. His wife is just for show. A friend told me a few years ago that Ideye lives his life, and Damka lives hers, although they are officially married. If Damka divorces him, she will take so much money that these $344,000 will seem like pocket change to him.
- Do you know anything about his official children from Damka?
- I see that he promotes them a lot in football, especially his older son. But I can say that he will have problems, considering the reputation of the father who behaves unworthily. Let Brown think about his children's future.
- How do your children feel about Brown now?
- Joel is very angry with him. He really wants to see Brown and have a man-to-man conversation about how he behaves. I do not provoke, but in the future, let Brown expect a meeting with Joel. If a twelve-year-old boy sees that an adult man makes mistakes, then surely it’s not for nothing. Generally, I am not against the children communicating with Brown.
By the way, I plan to write a book about our situation with Ideye. After all, he played a significant role in my life. I will call it “Brown”. But this will not be a biography, rather a look at him through my eyes.
