The Director of Strategic Development and Communications of Donetsk Shakhtar, Yuri Sviridov, explained why his club filed a lawsuit against Dnipro-1 over the transfer of midfielder Alexander Pikhalenok to Kyiv’s Dynamo in the summer of 2024.

“As a result of the player's transfer, Alexander Pikhalenok from Dnipro-1 to FC Dynamo (Kyiv), FC Shakhtar (Donetsk) should receive 480,000 dollars as a percentage of future sales (sell-on fee).
However, despite the fact that Dnipro-1 has already received a transfer compensation for the player, Dnipro-1 has not yet fulfilled its financial obligations to FC Shakhtar (Donetsk).
In this regard, we were forced to make a decision on further steps,” Sviridov said.
