Setanta Sports is the favorite in the fight for the tender for the broadcasting of UPL matches, reports TaToTake.
The Ukrainian Premier League has a certain calculation that Setanta will be the main player in this market, not MEGOGO.
Previously, the majority of UPL matches were broadcast on the "Football 1/2/3" channels, but the investment company of Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov SCM is exiting the media business, and the license for "Football 1/2/3" TV channels will be transferred to the state.
Home matches of "Dynamo", "Dnipra-1" and "Zori" were broadcast on the channels of the media holding 1+1. The Kyiv club will most likely stop cooperation with the "pluses", while the Dnipro and Lugansk clubs will continue. Due to the cooperation between Dnipro-1 and Metalist, it would be logical to expect a match of the Kharkiv club on 2+2 or UNIAN channels, but this is unlikely.
